I think playing online poker is really helpful for increasing your play. You should also read poker related books and online blogs, but spend more time in playing poker.

experience is the biggest lesson that helped me. get pokertracker or holdem manager and study your hands for mistakes. if you are a beginner then i think reading books/studying online is a lot of help.
